Dentingan lirih ini membuatku terdiam membisu. Jika kamu berdiam sebentar, kamu juga bisa mendengarnya temanku, kita akan dibuatnya membeku. Jemu. Simaklah sekejap, mari kita berdiam sekali ini saja. Aku akan berhenti meneriakkan ocehanku, dan kali ini tutuplah sebentar mulutmu. Bisakah kamu merasakan udara menusukmu, seperti butiran-butiran air yang sekarang menerjangku. Mengangguklah bersamaku temanku, kita masih beruntung. Sedikit buntung, tapi beruntung.

Setiap hari aku berjalan dan terus berjalan. Telapak kakiku mulai teriris-iris, alas kaki ini sudah tidak bisa melindungiku lagi. Kakiku tidak bisa berhenti, mulutku tak hentinya bernyanyi, walaupun dahaga telah menguras kerongkonganku. Karena aku belum menemukannya, dia yang kucari.

Dia yang aku tidak tahu. Aku tersesat dalam ketidaktahuan dan aku tenggelam dalam ketersesatan. Lalu aku berjalan lagi dan tidak bisa berhenti. Aku tidak peduli dan aku kan terus berlari. Apa yang kamu cari di ketidaktahuan itu? Dari mana kamu tersesat? Apakah kamu tenggelam atau menenggelamkan dirimu sendiri temanku? Tolong jangan marah dulu temanku. Aku bukan untuk kamu musuhi. Tapi aku juga bukan untuk kamu sakiti.

Mengapa kamu begitu sibuk dengan isi kepalamu? Mengapa kamu begitu sibuk dengan gerak gerikmu? Mengapa kamu sangat mudah tersulut dan menyulut? Bagaimana jika kukosongkan saja udara di sekelilingmu? Kemanakah kepala besarmu akan kau banggakan? Apakah kamu berusaha menakut-nakutiku? Tak bisakah kamu melihat betapa bibirku fasih berbicara dan berteriak? Tanganku menunjuk searah dengan lidahku yang menjulur dan mencibir dunia selain aku. Hidungku mengendus tambang emas dan perak untuk lubang kebahagiaan yang aku tunggu.

Aku manusia, Aku bisa melakukan semuanya. Tetapi telingamu sepertinya tidak terlalu berfungsi teman? Diantara jutaan kata yang sudah kamu lontarkan dan omong kosong yang sudah kamu dendangkan. Aku mengerti jika masih banyak sekali yang harus kamu lepaskan.

Aku mendengarkanmu teman. Aku merasakan yang kamu rasakan dan aku juga merasakan yang kamu lakukan. Karena kamu melakukannya padaku. Sekarang bolehkah aku memintamu mendengar sebentar, sebelum indramu terkikis dan membuat diriku teriris. “Berhenti teman. Stop make me dying fast. I still want to living life. To see the sun, see the moon, breath the air”. “Please care for the green trees and all the life inside it”. Hey, kamu berbicara seperti slogan-slogan yang sering kubaca di kantung-kantung belanja. Aku bosan mendengarnya, permainan kata manusia yang cuma-cuma. Duniaku yang hingar bingar dengan lampu yang terus berganti cahayanya pun bisa dengan sekejap membuatnya fana. Mari berdansa denganku sekarang juga, dan lihat beberapa tegukan racun yang bisa membawa kita berkelana.

Katakanlah yang kamu mau temanku. Tetapi berapa lamakah permainan awan dan langit biru itu bisa bertahan? Sudah siapkah dirimu ketika akan terjaga dan merana? Terjaga dan terpana? Jangan hanyutkan dirimu temanku. Jangan lupa bawa aku dalam ombakmu. Then I’ll treat you (well). I’ll give you better life. Pejamkan matamu dan rasakan aku. Aku tidak akan beraksi peduli karena itu adalah sebuah gaya. Semua manusia itu berdosa. Lihat aku mengangguk teman. Semua manusia mungkin memang berdosa, tetapi bukankah tergantung padamu yang menentukan kadarnya.

Nice Syntax

I am very happy if when writing shell script every variable, expression, and the other thing become colorful. It’s very helpfull for me to check if i missed some typo. Sometimes when i write shell script, i am facing a situation when i have to use quote (‘) and backquote (`) at the same time. It’s very annoying if i have to check between two similiar character. Fish shell help me to avoid this problem. This shell make a different color in different syntax. For example. first is syntax from bash :

for i in `ls -1 | grep "some string"`; do echo $i; done

in fish shell that script will become like this :

for i in (ls -1 | grep "some thing")

end

From that sampel, in bash i only find one color. And i will don’t know if i forgot typing one backquote. But in fish, they change backquote(`) into parenthesis “(“. Fish also make every my shell sintax become more colorful and I can simply find out if there something wrong with my script. One more advantage thing from fish is i can typing shell script become less error. This is something that i call structural typo or multi line editing. If we look at fish shell sample above. After i create expression for looping function, then i press enter button. Fish automatically indent my cursor. It’s make my script become more structural and more easy reading. Hm.. sound great isn’t it..?

Advanced tab completion

Let’s take one example. If i want to execute commmand like “whoami”, but i forget to spell it. in bash i just have to type who then press tab key. then bash will show some command that begin with the word “who”. Fish do this more than this. They show what command that begin with word who, and also explain every command that they show. It is very helpfull for me to find is that the command that i want or not.

Searchable command history

Sometimes when i execute some formulation in shell i rather forgot the syntax. History in shell will help me to find anything (even that some wrong formulation) that i had type. But if the formula that i have type is have been long since i type another command, i have to pres up, up , and up for many times, until i find the right formula. Fish help me to avoid this thing. With “searchable history”, i can find every formula or command that already i type. For example if i already type some command like this.

cat /etc/passwd | grep users | awk -F ':' '{print $6}'.

Then i want to write this formula again after i write many command after that. If i forget how i write this formula. And i only remember about /etc/passwd, i just have to type /etc/passwd and pres up button. fish will search for me every history that contain /etc/passwd, and every i press up button, fish only show command or furmula that contain /etc/password.

There another advantages using fish shell. You can find another explanation about fish in thier web site.

But what i found next is far from my first aim go to code.google.com. When i browse some project from database category, i found
wwwsqldesigner. This site allow you to create database, save it, and generate SQL through your web browser. Pictures below give sample design SQL (look’s like uml to me)

When you want to add new table you just click on the right sidebar, and whoola.. new table has created. When you want more field to add in table, just click table in worksheet, then click add field in right side bar.

when you finish and want to export to SQL just click “save/load” button and click generate SQL (mysql). Look’s like this appliacation (at least until i write this post) only able to generate to mysql script.

If you want to try in your computer, it’s doesn’t need many requirement except web browser with javascript support (i suggest firefox, opera, or safari). You don’t need to install flash player, just javascript and web browser, simple isn’t it? . Last, my opinion this application is a great tool and give another perspective to design SQL.

SOCKS is one of the proxy implementation connection, that allow us to get connected from system that behind firewall. SOCKS also allow us to do internet activities in a place that unsecure (danger from eavesdropping, hijack connection, or the other security problem)

Problem example

Suppose that we are in a network behind a firewall (picture below) and firewall blocking ftp port. So when the outside network (in this example ftp server) try to send some packet trough port ftp, that packet will never reach our computer.

another example, when use public internet connection (cafe, internet center, etc). That mean we use unsecure internet connection. We don’t know if our connection has been eavesdropping by someone else or not.

Solution

So, how ftp server can connect to our computer that firewalled. And how we can access internet with secure in insecure place..? the answer is SOCKS

OK. what we need to make an instant SOCKS server..? here they are

now.. what we do then..?

1. Connect to our remote server using ssh with bind option to make port forwarding to some port. Let we assume port that we use is 8990

ssh -D 8990 remote.proxy.com
now we already has SOCKS server using port 8990, All trafic from internet will pass firewall through port 8990. Since we use ssh as tool to connect to remote computer, we have a secure connection (secure from eavesdropping, sniffing, hijacking, etc).

2. tsocks, if don’t have this application in your computer, then you must install it first. Edit tsock configuration, you’ll find it in /etc/tsocks.conf. The most important thing is this 3 line :
   
server =
server_type =
server_port =


   server indicate server SOCKS, when we use local connection as our server SOCKS, add 127.0.0.1 in server option, server_type indicate we use SOCKS4 or SOCKS5, and server_port indicate number of port we use as server SOCKS. base on our sample, then this line will become like this :

   
server = 127.0.0.1
server_type = 5
server_port = 8990


ok.. that’s it.. now we can use ftp, freely.. if we draw connection diagram we will find the connection point will become like blue arrow in picture below

with tsocks we not just can use ftp, but allmost every network application can use under tsock just type like this :

When you only use server socks for browsing, you don’t have tsocks to do that. you can use firefox, this browser has facilities to use SOCKS server. You can find tutorial using SOCKS with firefox in this :
